67. O Messenger! Make known that which hath been

conveyed His Message. And Allah will protect Thee from mankind. Lo! Allah

Commentary
Ballig –
this word is from tabliig, which means “communicating the message,
conveying the message of Allah Almighty to non-believers; preaching Islam”.
Another word ‘Balaag’ has also been derived from it, which means
‘communication or delivery of a message’. Risaa-latah – ‘The
Message’, any written thing, which is required to be delivered to other people.
The word Rasuul, has been derived from it, which means ‘the
Messenger of Allah Almighty (peace be upon Him).
It has been described many
times from the very first that Allah Almighty revealed many Scriptures in the
world. The main aim of the Revelations was that, those people should act upon
their commands and hold them fast, for whom those Scriptures were revealed.
Before the revelation of Holy Qur’aan, the Torah was revealed on
the Messenger Moses (peace be upon Him), in which there were all kinds of
necessary and clear Instructions about “How to dwell in the world” in those
days, the Psalms of David (peace be upon Him), (these both Scriptures were
revealed for the Jews), and the Gospel was revealed on the Messenger Jesus
(peace be upon Him) with the same basic commandments but some needful
amendments, which were considered necessary by Allah Almighty due to human
improvement with the passage of time. But the Jews and the Christians did not
act upon them.
At the end, the last Scripture
i.e. Holy Qur’aan was revealed, and it represented the
commandments of all previous Scriptures as true. And those commands were either
kept in the same manner or all were gathered with necessary amendments, which
were suitable for these people of the last time. And complete Rules of Practice
was given to the mankind duly prepared. Now this Scripture is sufficient for
the guidance of the human beings until the Day of Resurrection. It has been
mentioned in all previous Scriptures to believe in this last Scripture. So, if
the Jews and the Christians had acted upon their own Scripture then it was
incumbent for them that they would have believed in the truth of Holy Qur’aan and
the last Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and peace be upon Him) and obeyed
Him, then they would be best people today. They would have obtained all the
blessings of the earth and skies in the world and lived in ease and comfort on
the Day of Resurrection. They would have obtained deliverance from the entire
evils and bad presage of the sins. But alas! They did not do so, but gripped
their loins to oppose the Messenger Muhammad (grace, glory, blessings and peace
be upon Him) and the last Scripture i.e. Holy Qur’aan, and began to
trouble the Muslims. They injured the Messenger (grace, glory, blessings and
peace be upon Him), left no omission in their wickedness, mischief, quarrel and
fighting against the Muslims, and supported the Infidels of Makkah,
when they were fighting against the Muslims.
